- Associate Professor of Mathematics (Numerical Analysis) and Acting Dean of Student Affairs at Ahlia University since January 2020
- He held the position of Head of the Mathematics Department at University of Bahrain, until he was promoted to Associate Professor in June 2018, and was the Director of the Continuing Scientific Education Program at the College of Science at University of Bahrain
- He worked as a Director of Program Review at the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training, and he is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom. He has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from University of Bahrain.
- He holds a certified teacher certificate and is a member of many committees at the department, college and university levels
- He holds a Kuwaiti research fellowship from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, University of Cambridge
- He holds a PhD from Brunel University in Numerical Analysis
- He holds a Master's degree in Pure Mathematics from University of Bahrain
- His areas of expertise include numerical solutions for initial value problems, boundary value problems, equivalent partial differential equations, systems of differential equations and systems in the biomedical sciences and quantum information.
